www.metso.comAs the Transportation Manager, Sweden, you will have a very interesting role with the following diversified responsibilities/tasks:
• To be the Chairman of the Sweden transportation team and member in the Transportation and Packaging Management Core Team in Metso.
• To define and implement the transportation activities and development in a local environment together with the Logistic Managers of the locations and the Suppliers Key Account Managers to ensure the effective implementation and savings.
• To follow up and measure the performance of transportation suppliers and to implement the action and improvement plans together with the locations.
• To define the strategy for transportation in Sweden under different business strategies and the global transportation strategy.
• To develop the transportation management system support together with businesses in Sweden.
You may be placed in any Metso location in Sweden.
We expect you to have "hands-on" experience and a strong determined approach in managing transportation operations in an industrial manufacturing environment. Working knowledge in transportation development; air & ocean, courier and road transportation suppliers and subcontractors is preferred. Regarding your working style, you have a logical mindset, are service-minded and have a genuine drive and desire to make success within Metso. The position requires a readiness to travel as well as good communication and negotiation skills in English and Swedish. We appreciate a technical or commercial university degree in logistics or M. Sc. degree in another field with extensive relevant work experience.
