We are now looking for a Trademark Attorney or a person with similar background to join our Intellectual Property Rights team at the Corporate Headquarters in Lund, Sweden.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
This position will share the managing responsibilities for the trademark portfolio, design patent portfolio and domain name portfolio and assist and support Patent Engineers and Patent Attorneys in other IP matters.
You will take an active part in all matters relating to our trademark, design patent and domain name portfolios and implement our global strategy for them. This is a varied role including prosecution work as well as enforcement and requires interaction with many different roles and departments inside Axis.
You will communicate and advice colleagues, correspond with foreign external counsels as needed in regards to trademarks, design patents and domain names. You will assist in training of colleagues on legal and business aspects of Intellectual Property depending on your level of expertise.
The ideal candidate must be passionate about Intellectual Property and have the ability to adapt to current and future responsibilities and working with internal and external counsels. We can offer you a challenging position with a diverse set of tasks to handle.
Responsibilities include:
Ensure protection and maintenance of trademarks, design patents and domain names Conduct name clearance and advise colleagues Manage pre-contentious and contentious enforcement and defense activities Together with the team manage trademark and design litigation activities such as evidence gathering, corresponding with external counsels; Carry out brand IP education, raising awareness and providing training on trademark best practices. Handling deadlines and follow-up on time schedules Preparing correspondence with agents and attorneys Filing trademark and design applications throughout the world with external counsels; managing internal databases Review of marketing materials Administrative tasks such as inventor remunerations and notarizations
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We believe you have a law degree or similar legal education or solid experience from similar work at a law/patent firm or company. You can express yourself freely in Swedish and English verbally as well as in writing.
You have:
Proven post-qualification experience Experience of either working in industry or for a law firm, with industry clients, ideally within the IT/Electronics sector Ability to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities, meet critical deadlines, take initiative Excellent attention to details Self-starter, accurate, time management skills Ability to work under limited supervision
