The mission of the Trade Compliance Officer (TCO) is to support the business in ensuring that all business transactions related to export are aligned with laws and regulations, as well as ABB trade policies and guidelines. TCO is the single point of contact for trade-related matters towards multiple stakeholders and authorities. The responsibility covers daily trade operations related to export control as well as classification of products.
In collaboration with the Country Trade Compliance Officer you will train, develop, and implement trade-related initiatives supporting the business.
In this role you will be a part of the Quality Department, reporting to the Quality Manager. This role will support the Large Motors & Generators at ABB Motion in Västerås.
Your responsibilities
Support the Large Motors & Generators in questions related to the export control & sanctions
Support the Large Motors & Generators in export classification of products
Support with information and training regarding laws and regulations, as well as existing and new ABB procedures and guidelines
Daily reviewing and analyzing blocked transactions in SAP GTS Compliance (GTS = Global Trade Services)
Be part of the ABB local and global trade compliance community

Your background
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Basic technical knowledge of some of the ABB product portfolio
Good understanding of end-to-end sales processes, risk management, and product
Good knowledge of sanctions and export control laws and regulations
Good knowledge in classification of products
Manage assignments with limited direct supervision
Effectively communicate across all levels of the business
Business mindset, strong sense of ownership, sense of details and self-drive personality
Team player with good communication skills, capable of communicating in English and Swedish, both verbally and in writing
