But now we want to be even better! We're looking for a passionate Tool design engineer to the Tool Department at Alfa Laval in Lund. So, what are you going to do today?
Who you are
We are looking for a tool designer for Alfa Laval's tool department (OD-TD) in Lund within the" Tool Design"-group. You should have several years of documented experience within press tools, cutting tools and fixtures. Experience in hydraulics, pneumatics and automation is also an advantage.
Who are you?We believe you have a great technical interest and many years of proven experience of press tools, cutting tools and fixturing. We are looking for a driving person who is easy to collaborate and communicate with. You can work independently and in a structured manner to achieve project goals. You have at least an engineering degree from college or equivalent and have 3D CAD experience, and a good knowledge of the English language. The location is in Lund with about 20-40 travel days a year.
Responsibilities:
Develop and streamline Alfa Laval's tool and press line concepts.
Participate in R&D projects and lead tool projects.
Collaborate with others within Operations and R&D.
Act as a specialist and analyze global technology trends within tool and press line.
Lead consultants.
Design in CREO.
Provide quotes and cost estimates in various tool projects.
About the jobAs a project manager, you will run tool projects with responsibility from the construction to the tool delivery. The tools can often be complex and have a great impact on the stability of the process and the cost-effectiveness when manufacturing a product. You will also work with concept development regarding future manufacturing technologies.
