Today every vehicle leaving the factories is equipped with a IoT communication platform collecting millions of data events, waiting to be analysed to get better insight for the vehicles, and value through services to our customer in our strive to be global leader in sustainable transportation solutions.
We are now looking to complement our development team with a tester with a drive for high quality and automation. The team's current assignment is building a modular administrative system containing submodules for managing personnel, invoicing, handling subscriptions for connected services and more. The system will have many integrations to crucial business flows and therefore enforcing a solid QA process is vital.
Who you are
You are driven and do not hesitate to take initiative to achieve results in your daily work. You are unafraid to ask for help and collaborate with the developers when needed. You are also unafraid to question the existing process and bring your own ideas to the table to further improve the QA process. The role further requires an interest in automation in order to develop a good foundation for regression testing the application as it scales. A basic knowledge of C#, object oriented programming and CI tool TeamCity or equivalent software is advantageous.
You will work closely with the developers and together create a test driven environment where it is easy to deploy fast with highly reliable quality. The QA process is owned by the team but you will take a leading role in developing and ensuring the quality of the software going forward.
The development team
The team consists of three smaller teams of two developers each, responsible for building and maintaining different sub modules that together make up the new administrative system in connected services. The developers work closely and have daily interaction with the systems product owner and UX designer. As the team and product both are relatively new, the QA process is still under rapid development and you play a big part in forming it. Today the team mainly use unit testing and manual test cases to ensure quality, but are looking to implement E2E testing in front end with karma/selenium driver, automated testing and integrating tests with the deployment pipeline. The frameworks mainly used for developing are .Net core, Angular 2, MSSQL and MYSQL.
