Engine control is now looking for people who want to contribute to improving our cars' environmental impact and driving experience. We work with mechanics, electronics, controls, chemistry, fluid dynamics, modelling, simulation and software. With us, you will have great opportunities in specialization and personal development. Right now, we are in an exciting phase of development and to further develop diesel and gasoline engines. We also face the challenge to develop electric motors, hybrids and engines that run on more environmentally friendly fuels. We develop most of the control software ourselves. We are now looking for an ambitious Test Support Engineer to support our team. As a Test Support Engineer your responsibilities will include; writing work orders, download software, instruct on how to treat vehicles, test sequence planning, coordination-execution and also some analytical work. Tests will mostly be carried out on roads or in test rooms by specially trained personnel. Your delivery will be successful emission and engine tests.
Main responsibilities
* Work with test preparation, testing and in some cases also optimization
* Support and help getting Volvo Car Group engines running at suppliers or for other departments at Volvo Car Group
* Fault tracing in test objects
Required qualifications
* University degree in engineering or engineering experience
* Driver's license B and driving experience
* Experience from emission/ engine testing from product development is meritorious
* Knowledge in engine control or diagnostics systems and test/analysis equipment will be seen as an advantage to other candidates.
* Experience in INCA is meritorious

* Enjoy problem solving in a complex technical environment
