All about the role:
As a Test Specialist for the Electrolux Direct to Consumer (D2C) web channel, you will be responsible for leading continuous testing activities of the D2C web channel software artifacts - manually and through test automation, for developing test plans, evaluating, and ensuring the quality of software components. You will work with multiple software product development teams ensuring successful delivery of agile product increments of the e-commerce software products in a highly integrated consumer landscape. This role provides a unique opportunity for you to explore an international environment and succeed along with the delivery team in delivering a fantastic ecommerce solution.
The successful candidate will be also expected to take care of the relationships with external consultants and peers.
What you'll do:
• Develop effective tests.
• Automate scripts and tests.
• Define and implement the role of testing plays within the organization.
• Define the scope of testing within the context of each release/delivery.
• Deploy and manage the appropriate testing framework to meet the testing mandate.
• Implement and evolve appropriate measurements and metrics.
• Plan and manage the testing effort for any given engagement/release.
• Analyze, design, prepare the test cases.
• Implementation and execution of tests.
• Evaluation of exit criteria and report of test results.
• Specify requirements and validate test data creation or selection (in a distributed landscape) to satisfy the execution preconditions and input content required to execute the test scenario.
Who you are:
To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate experience in detecting major software flaws such as errors, software failures, breakdowns, bugs, and potential risks that may affect software performance and quality. You also inform the testing manager/delivery manager regarding any improvements required in the system. Previous experience working in a Test specialist role doing software development testing is essential, experience with scaled agile processes will be a plus. You will need to be able to communicate effectively with a multitude of people across IT, business, and vendor teams including different stakeholders.
If you have experience from working in a technical landscape that is made of e-commerce software products combined with a micro-service based architecture will be an added advantage. ISTQB certification or similar are an added value.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in computer science or similar.
• 3+ years of experience in a test specialist position.
• Strong and hands on experience with test automation using Open Source and Proprietary. Platforms (experience with Selenium, BrowserStack and Blazemeter is a plus) in an integrated hybrid cloud, SaaS, PaaS and on-premise application landscape.
• Experience in writing test scripts and executing software testing.
• Strong experience working with agile test factory and product development teams.
• Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, as well as Excel and Power Point.
• Experience with creating detailed task level plans and in managing dependencies between different software development and delivery teams.
• Positive interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence individuals and teams rather than dictate.
• Good problem solving and analytical skills.
• Strong presentation, team collaboration and task level planning skills.
• Has delivery and results focused mindset.
• Ability to manage and react quickly in pressured environment and situations.
• Process orientation with good time management and scheduling skills.
• Ability to managing multiple streams of activity, shifting focus regularly.
• Experience with Agile Testing Quadrants and Agile Testing Pyramid frameworks.
• Experience with Multiple Testing Platforms.
• Experience in Different Types of Testing.
