Our success requires smart IT solutions due to increase in the use of digital technology. As a result, Scania IT will be an important player in this change process.
The group Purchasing IT within Scania IT is responsible for developing and managing IT systems within Scania's Purchasing department.
We are now looking for a person with a significant interest in software testing. You will play a central role in our development teams and will have many contacts around the Scania organization. We can offer work close to operations with technical variation at a company with a very good working environment.
Job description
In this role you need to have a good understanding of the IT system development lifecycle and be used to work agile with good knowledge in test discipline including test functional automatization and performance automatization. We work with own build and bought applications.
Your main tasks will be:
estimating the testing to be done, monitoring, and control of the testing activities and tasks
meet with system users to understand the scope of projects/changes
to plan, coordinate/manage test resources, execute/perform tests for different changes, from Change Request to Projects concerning changes in IT supporting Purchasing at Scania
report and follow up on trouble reports in respective tools (i.e. JIRA)
manage test cases, environments and test data
ensure that GUI design guidelines and other principles are followed
Your profile
In the position as Test Manager/Tester, you must be positive to participate in improving testing, test methods and tools. This should be complemented by either a background as a developer with several years' experience working with testing with focus on web application testing, or a solid business knowledge within Purchasing/Logistics (preferably from Scania) and a deep interest to establish a new career within testing and IT development. University degree in IT is essential. In addition to Swedish, you need to be proficient in written and spoken English.

You like working in a team, but it is also important that you can take the initiative and work independently. You appreciate cultural differences and have the ability to navigate in an international environment. You find it easy to communicate with close colleagues as well as with the organization at large.
