About the job
Our purpose is to develop and deliver Infotainment, Connectivity, Cloud Platform, and a world-class digital user experience.
An essential product is the Connectivity Platform consisting of the Telematic unit in the car, the Mobile Network Operator, and the needed Back-end services. It enables vehicles to have internet connectivity so that the drivers and passengers can enjoy navigation, media and assisted driver functions. To make sure the right connectivity quality is delivered every day, we will increase our effort to build abilities to evolve, test, operate, and monitor the IP connectivity. We have assigned that responsibility to a small and competent agile engineering team that now needs an additional team member.
As a Test Engineer with some Software Development skills, you will be responsible for defining what shall be tested, implement test script and deploying them remotely to our test systems around the world. You will also troubleshoot if our IP connectivity is not working as we expect. If you are interested in Data Analytics and how it can be used in product decision making you will find that as an integrated part of work.
Do you fit the profile?
Here in Gothenburg (Lindholmen),we are looking for you with at least a BSc. in Software Engineering, or similar, and have a few years of experience from a role within a development team where you have built skills in testing, troubleshooting, and test script implementation using Python. Your domain competence is within IP networks and cellular technologies such as 3G/4G/5G. As we leverage data analytic and monitoring frameworks, it is an advantage if you can bring some experience. We also use System Weaver to manage our requirements and test cases, maybe you have some experience of the tool?
The development team, Volvo Cars, and Suppliers we work with are based around the globe therefore we see that you are fluent in the English language, a good communicator and enjoy collaboration far outside your team.
