hela Sverige The group Wind Tunnel Testing performs tests in the Climatic Wind Tunnel and the Aerodynamic Wind Tunnel and in various cold chambers. On complete vehicle we conduct various test conditions that simulate real driving conditions. Our responsibility also includes emission RDE tests on the road. Our business is mainly driven by complete vehicle test ordered by R&D. The group consist of 18 dedicated employees and we are now looking for an engaged and knowledgeable test engineer.
As Test Engineer, you will work with verification testing according to test methods and requirements. Your main responsibility will be on a daily basis operate one of the Wind Tunnels together with the tunnel technician to supply the customer with data according to predefined test programs. In this position you will work irregular hours. You will work one Saturday per month and evening shifts every fourth week.
Main responsibilities
• Responsible for correct usage of the facility and test equipment
• Operate the wind tunnel during tests
• Perform daily control of the facility systems and test object
• Perform troubleshooting, report problems and verify measures
• Attend meetings regarding planned tests, responsible for control of test object and reporting improvements after tests
• Fully responsible for the facility regarding correct installation and calibration of equipment
• Support, advice and facilitate the testing for the customer
• At a regular basis search for ways to improve the knowledge of testing in facilities
Required qualifications
• Technical degree upper secondary school or good technical experience gained from earlier positions
• Approximately 5 years' experience from work in wind tunnels or equal facilities
• Interest in technical and measurement equipment
• Knowledge in Software read-out, download and documentation is meritorious
• Experience from service and maintenance is meritorious
• Basic knowledge in programming is meritorious
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Driver's license (B-level)
