Our test engineer is leaving for new challenges internally in our company and we are looking for someone to replace her. We need a person that will complement our team and play an important role in the future development work.
Your role
As our test engineer you will have an important role. You will work in close cooperation with our developing teams that are working with a various number of different components and systems. Mainly internal engine systems such as the piston unit and crank mechanism, oil system, engine coolant system and valve train, but also testing of the complete engine in order to provide data as input to further simulations. The work will include planning, preparation, execution, analysis and documentation of the testing. The scope of the role varies depending on our different development projects. In periods it will be very hands on in the test cells either internally or externally at our suppliers. Other times it will be more administrative with material ordering, register oil samples or
writing engineering reports of the performed testing.
Who are we?
We are part of the Volvo Group Trucks Technology (GTT). The department is based in Gothenburg and responsible for the Base Engine systems within the Volvo Group heavy duty engines range. Our products are used in more than 190 markets and considered to be part of the core business. We have co-workers all over the world; for example our colleagues in Lyon that are responsible for the medium duty engines. Who are you?

During your previous experiences with combustion engines you have developed your analytic skills and learnt the importance of documenting the performed work. You know that the details matters and know when to take the necessary actions to adjust accordingly.
