The ABB Power Grids division is the world's leading supplier of power and automation products, systems and service solutions for the entire value chain from power generation to the transmission and distribution of electricity. As Manager of the Tendering department, you have the important mission to lead and develop a team of Sales Project Managers (SPMs). The SPMs in turn lead tender teams, to which resources are appointed from a line organization to efficiently deliver the industry's most competitive tenders, thus offering clear value to our customers. We act globally, often together with colleagues from various countries, and each opportunity is valued roughly around $20M.
The Manager of the Tendering department is accountable for the performance of the department within budget. You will also be a member of the Swedish HUB management team.
You are driven, result oriented and have a strong interest in leadership and developing your team. Moreover, you thrive in a role where you can contribute with your innovative and creative mindset. Last, but not least, you are a natural leader with the ability to inspire and motivate your team.
You hold a Bachelor or Master degree in Power Systems or similar, although experience from a similar role and your personal qualities are more important than an academic degree.
To successfully take on this position, you need experience from managerial and tendering roles. Experience from the transmission industry is highly valuable. Since you will be part of a global business, fluency in English and Swedish is a must, written and spoken alike. Great leadership, risk management and financial skills are also important. Not to mention understanding of our technology and customers' requirements. Knowledge of contractual set ups is also a must. Furthermore, you are result-focused and process-oriented, and you contribute to great teamwork. This position also puts high demands on your ability to identify and propose value to our customers.
