Operational Product Owner (OPO) for SVP
An Operational Product Owner (OPO) for SVP is a technical lead role in the project. An OPO is responsible for product requirements, management of tasks in different project teams, product architecture, and product quality. An OPO works in collaboration with the PL, and shall support PL with technical expertise.
Specific tasks are outlined below.
Requirements management
• Collection, evaluation, and detailing of product requirements, often in collaboration with current and potential users of SVP
• Formulation of product features, based on product requirements
• Participation in user forums, with stakeholders from software as well as from hardware
Task management
• Formulation and backlog prioritization of team tasks, to be executed by members of the different project teams
• Follow-up of team progress, with respect to product requirements and decided features
• Interact with teams on a regular basis, with the purpose of evaluating, specifying, and estimating of tasks
Product Architecture
• Responsible for the overall technical architecture of the SVP products
• Take a leading role in technical discussions, make proposals for architecture and design
• Follow-up and ensure the architectural integrity of the SVP product
Product Quality
• Responsible for the team WoW, including processes for continuous integration and delivery
• Responsible for the bug handling process
• Update and maintain support systems for team work, such as Jira and Redmine
• Responsible for the project software development environment, including systems for build and test
• Create and maintain processes for maintaining code quality
Technical Leadership
• Go-to person for technical aspects of the SVP product
• Solid experience in embedded systems, software engineering, and system simulation
• Actively promote competence build-up and continuous learning for the team members
