Do you have experience or interest in challenging existing models and developing new landscapes of virtual engineering?

Development & Service Operations - Packaging Material (DSO PM) is strengthening the Modelling and Validation team. Our mission within DSO PM is to deliver capabilities, insights and knowledge in Virtual engineering, Statistical engineering, Factory simulation and Verification & Validation. We are a proud team of 12 Technical Specialists and Development Engineers, developing both short and long-term capabilities. We operate both in development projects and as a team building strategic capabilities.

We are now looking for a Technology Specialist with a deep know-how in virtual engineering, CAE and an interest in modelling complex materials to join our successful team, ready to take on some of our most complex development areas.

Main responsibilities

Lead the capability development and model building of the virtual twin for the lamination process. Typical challenges include: heat transfer, complex materials polymer melts, multiscale modelling at high speed

• Be an active member of development projects driving CAE activities
• Measure, interpret and analyze test results
• Collaborate with test engineers to validate models
• Built models, analyze, interpret and communicate the results
• Lead and coach engineers in building lamination capabilities
• Contribute to the general know-how build up within Virtual engineering

Qualifications

As a person, you are intellectually curious and possess great listening skills. You can see the big picture and still dig deep into details. To be successful in this role you have;
• Excellent knowledge and understanding in solid mechanics and heat transfer
• Special interest in modelling of complex materials
• Knowledge in computational fluid dynamics and fluid structure interaction is considered a merit
• Python programming skills to automate model generation
• Computational programming skills
• Good documentation and excellent communication skills (English)

Preferably you have practical hands on engineering experience from development and manufacturing industries. Your educational background includes a MSc University degree or Phd in Physics, Mathematical, Mechanical or Materials Engineering or equivalent.
