Description
Do you want to bring your technology development, team leadership and supplier management skills to the next level? Do you see yourself taking a global role managing the polymer supply base for the entire Tetra Pak Group? Can you lead effectively across cultures, organisations and functions?
An exciting opportunity opens within SCO Base Materials (BaseMat). BaseMat strives to continuously adapt and improve our global base material supply chains (polymers, paperboard, aluminium foil and ink) in collaboration with our suppliers, converting factories and development organisations.
This role will put you in contact with key internal and external stakeholders across different functional and international borders. Reporting to the Director Technology & Innovation Part-nerships, you'll be member of the BaseMat Technology management team.
Your base will be Lund and you will travel around 50 days/year.
Main responsibilities
• Develop and implement the global polymer supply strategy and technology roadmap.
• Develop people and competence within the polymer technology team.
Optimise supplier/product portfolio.
• Manage supply risks/opportunities.
• Manage polymer project and specification portfolio towards evolving supply, quality and cost demands.
• Assure suppliers' compliance to specifications.
Qualifications
You have proven leadership and collaboration skills and the ability to drive and implement change. You are an open person who actively shares knowledge with others. Building relations comes easy to you and you know how to balance listening with persuasion and helpfulness with firmness. You are analytical and organised which makes it easy for you to create a structure and keep track on many parallel issues. You are a good communicator and excellent at both spoken and written English.
Your educational background is a relevant university degree at a Master's level or above. You have solid knowledge about the polymer manufacturing industry and related technologies. Experience with converting and food packaging applications is a clear advantage, as well as experience in strategic sourcing, strategic account management and co-development.
