In this context Technology Personal Care develops and implements technology strategies to fulfil business needs in terms of cost, efficiency, innovation, flexibility, quality and safety.
The pace of innovation is increasing, and so are the consumer and customer demands on product quality. Also, the business needs for productivity, flexibility and cost-efficient technology solutions are increasing in the highly competitive market environment where we operate. The changing consumer and business needs puts new and higher demands on the Technology PC organization, and at the same time digitalization offers new opportunities to enable delivery on business needs. We are now looking for a Technology Area Director to be part of driving the change needed for future success, and lead a Technology Area team on this exciting journey!
The Technology Area Director reports to the Vice President Technology and is a member of the Technology PC Leadership Team. He/she has the responsibility to drive the technology agenda in the assigned Technology Area in terms of efficiency, structure and people development.
The location of the position is preferably Gothenburg, other locations can be considered. Willingness to travel is required.



Main Tasks
The Technology Area Director is responsible for developing and implementing the technology strategy within the assigned technology area. This includes a translation of product innovation needs into technology needs and then to execute development projects together with external machine suppliers.
The Technology Area Director is also responsible to initiate and execute capacity driven projects to secure that required additional product volumes are available in the right place, at the right time and to the right cost. Furthermore, he/ she is also expected to identify and highlight the potential need for a technology shift based on future requirements on safety, innovation and manufacturing KPIs.

Required Education & Experience
University degree or extensive job experience in relevant field
Significant experience in manufacturing operations and R&D
Experience and curiosity within the area of manufacturing digitalization is preferred
Proven practice of international leadership
International work orientation or experience
Experience in external supplier relations and co-development
Fluency in English: written and verbal

Leadership skills

Takes a broad stakeholder perspective and has the ability to understand stakeholder requirements, operational limitations and business opportunities
Able to turn strategy into actions and deliver results
Excellent networking and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and influence people across different disciplines, cultures and positions
Ability to build trust in an open environment by involving others and building effective teams
A winning attitude with the passion to take strong ownership, set ambitious aspirations and deliver on or beyond agreed goal
