MAX IV is a national large-scale research laboratory providing scientists from Sweden and the rest of the world with instruments for research in areas such as materials science, structural biology, chemistry and nanotechnology. Fully developed it will receive more than 2 000 scientists annually. 200 people are currently employed at the MAX IV Laboratory.



Tasks

The tasks include to take part in the characterization and commissioning of the 3 new Insertion devices recently installed during the summer shutdown of the MAX IV 3 GeV ring (Hippie, Veritas and Balder) and to continue the commissioning work on the two In-vacuum undulators of BioMAX and NanoMAX.

This includes; Orbit feedforward correction scheme Linear optics correction scheme (Tunes, beta beat and response matrices measurement).

Qualifications

• Msc in Accelerator physics.
• Knowledge of Accelerator Toolbox AT in MATLab.
• Knowledge of synchrotron radiation physics and simulation code is preferred.
