Dfind Science & Engineering are currently looking for a technical writer for one of our clients in Uppsala. The right candidate will have experience in technical writing and is someone who enjoys the structure and the organized work-flow that is necessary for this role. The assignment is based in Uppsala and is planned to start as soon as we find the right person, preferably at the beginning of March, so if you are the person we are looking for then don't hesitate to apply!
Your Arena
The technical documentation group produces and maintains technical documentation that supports products manufactured in multiple locations for the customer. The group writes, edits, and lays out the material for production in print and digital formats. They work closely with R&D project teams to develop content for new product introductions. The team is also involved in updating existing material. The team interacts with Product Marketing, R&D, Marketing, Communication, Sourcing, Quality and Manufacturing.
Work duties
As a technical writer you will be working with end-user documentation for the company's new product introductions (NPI's) and updates of existing technical documentation. The work will cover all aspects of producing print-ready files and digital versions of technical documentation. Your work duties will thereby include research, communicating with internal colleagues, writing, reviewing, proof-reading and publishing technical documentation.
Competences and experience
In addition to the profile specification, these specific competences and experience are required for the assignment:
• BSc, MSc, or PhD preferably in chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, molecular biology or related field
• Experience in technical writing
• Experience in desktop publishing tools (e.g. Adobe FrameMaker)
• Fluent in oral and written English
• Experience in working with single-sourced Content Management Systems (CMS) is highly meritorious
• Knowledge of Information Mapping is nice to have

To be successful in this role you need to be communicative and have strong inter-personal skills. You need to be analytical and thorough with excellent organizational skills and have an eye for detail. We also see that you handle deadlines well and that you have the ability to work well, both independently and in a multi-cultural team.
