About the roleSkånemejerier is on an exciting journey, making great changes and investments to optimize the company further and is now looking for a Technical Manager. The role is critical to all technical investments in the plants and has a very important and central function. As a Technical Manager you will have overall responsibility for the Technical Department with personnel responsibility over two employees. You will be based at Skånemejerier plant in Malmö but act and drive the projects for all four (4) plants in Sweden. Travelling will therefore be required in some projects. The role reports to the Industrial Director.
Main tasks and responsibilitiesYour main tasks will be to manage project teams and suppliers cross-functionally, overseeing safety and leading and organizing the team. The role includes for example:
• To be responsible of different projects within the Skånemejerier Group Organisation in Sweden.
• To ensure on-time, on-budget deliveries and status quo report.
• To execute medium to large projects across multiple technical areas.
• To create pre-project plans, risk analysis and standard documents setup. You also will secure that required resources are available to deliver on time according to project plan and ensure use and best practice in project management.
• To draft consultation packs (expressions of needs and specifications) for planned investments in conjunction with sites and run the consultation process through to supplier selection (standardisation of bids, negotiations, proposals to chosen suppliers and drafting of purchase requests).
Your work is in close collaboration with different departments and it also involves external parties. Who are you?We think you have a university degree within engineering with a broad technical knowledge, preferably in process or mechanical. You have a minimum of 5 years' experiences of project management and also great experience as a manager. To thrive in the role, we think you need to have in-depth understanding of equipment and material, to cover performance and capacity, cleaning and maintenance. The work requires a complete knowledge and understanding of industrial technologies and processes, to cover main characteristics, advantages, constraints, opportunities and risks. Ability to determine industrial technologies and processes, ensure they are followed and develop them. It is significant to understand the whole process and process-flow. As a person, you would need to be structured, organized and have a good ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. You have an analytical capability and are well experienced in holding together large projects, handle difficult situations, succeed priorities and many deadlines. You are also a good communicator and find it easy to create reliance to others. The position also involves international contacts and fluency in English both verbal and in writing is required.
