About the opportunity
The Technical Lead will be involved in developing the Predictive maintenance Project stream within the Asset Analytics team, working with and in client projects to help the clients realize value from our services.
The primary responsibility of this role is to drive collaboration with rolling stock consultants and to define, conceptualize, formulate use cases, develop, and test various rolling stock components in close collaboration with the team to improve our delivery and services. In addition, the role will include working as a consultant at customer projects.
This is a key role in a rapidly developing part of our business, and you will:
Be involved in delivering and pitching and Predictive Maintenance projects to clients
Involved in innovation within Digital Service strategic theme Predictive Maintenance and Intelligent Asset Management solutions.
Market Atkins Digital Services by attending and hosting both academic and industry seminars.
Drive Vehicle Technical collaboration with business unit Rolling Stock
Advise and support client in defining their Asset Management processes
Advise clients on how to integrate Digital Services products into their processes
Act as an Vehicle Dynamics and Wayside SME within the team
Engage directly with clients and domain experts to understand their challenges and propose data driven solutions
Formulate and define, projects, hypothesis and use cases for the data science team within Rolling Stock and Vehicle Asset Management domain
Use cutting edge visualizations to enable our clients to better explore the patterns and trends hidden within their data to deliver insights
Work collaboratively with data scientist and especially our Business Intelligence analysts to define requirements develop prototypes and deployable solutions.

About you
The successful candidate is likely to have the following attributes:
Demonstrated experience within the Rolling Stock Industry
Demonstrated ability to facilitate and lead others, and to work with minimal direction, with the proven ability to coordinate complex activities
Demonstrated experience working with either, wayside, onboard or maintenance data
Experience in developing and delivering presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
A problem-solving mindset and the ability to make conceptual links between real word problems and data analytics solutions.
Strong grasp of numbers, statistics, mathematical concepts, and algorithms. Ideally with a degree at PhD or Masters level.
Experience with Agile development practices and e.g. definition of User Stories
