As a supplier of engine management systems to other vehicle manufacturers, the demands we face for various types of function documentation are increasing. The coming ISO26262 standard for functional safety and documentation for authorities linked to legal requirements for On board Diagnostics (OBD) is also a huge challenge. We are therefore creating a new role within the Engine Control SW section that aims to ensure good documentation by coaching the organisation, reviewing and compiling certain documentation, and developing processes and tools for this. Our strategy is as far as possible to generate complete documentation for various purposes based on software-related documentation from each development group.

The Engine System Software group is responsible for the complete engine management system, architecture, OBD certification and development of certain key elements, such as diagnostic framework, workshop tests, etc. We adopt a lean/agile business strategy and use Scrum in our two teams.

Your duties
Coaching the organisation in technical documentation for engine management systems and reviewing and compiling certain documentation. You will also develop processes and tools for this. You will do this through requirement specification/testing of tools, scripting to support continuous delivery, etc. You will also be Scania's engine management system representative in the group forum for documentation systems.

You will work closely with colleagues in the group, which also creates opportunities for skills expansion/deepening, regardless of whether you choose a career as a technician, project manager or manager. The group is characterised by cohesion and enormous enthusiasm for development both professionally and as people.

Your profile
You will have relevant professional experience within documentation of technical systems and/or general business development.

Proficiency in technical English is a requirement. Knowledge of German would be an advantage.

You will have some programming knowledge, preferably Python, XML, Perl, CMake and/or .NET (C#).

Knowledge of development of embedded electronics systems and the specific tool Matlab/Simulink and/or engine knowledge would be an advantage.

As a person you have good communication skills, and are organised, quality conscious and responsible. You have the ability to engage people in plans and in change management.

We offer
In addition to career and development opportunities, we can also offer Scania employees other benefits, such as a company car, performance bonuses, a pension, flexible working hours, lunch at reduced prices and much more. If you live in Stockholm, we offer a direct bus service between Stockholm and Södertälje, the Scania Jobexpress.
