Summary
The department Versatile Business Development within Region Europe Industrial is responsible for developing the business mainly within the off-road segment. The role for this department is very broad and includes working with strategies, dialogue with all areas within product management as well as close contact with our Market Units and selected OEM customers.

The Technical Business Development Manager shall work closely together with the Dealer Business Management and with Volvo Penta Centers (VPC's) around Europe to develop the business from finding prospect customers all the way to serial production. Secure and support new versatile engine OEM projects, repower of older machines and training of key VPC personnel are the primary tasks.

Main Areas of Responsibility
• Support the sales/application team of the VPC's in clarifying technical issues and in the long run make them become self-sustainable
• Asses the VPC's competence in application and installations
• Support and train our VPC's to install an engine into a machine
• Give input and follow up market requirements in product development projects
• Support the VPC design and prototype work with technical documentation, advice and function tests
• Co-operate with internal functions that support the VPC business
• Feedback customer demands into Volvo Penta in order to secure fulfillment of the market requirements

Qualifications
We believe that you should have a technical background, Master of Science or an equivalent technical education. Relevant work experience, e.g. design or testing of heavy duty machinery or driveline components is essential. Good knowledge of all the different segments our products are installed in. Experience of logging equipment such as Vision and Canalyzer during installation reviews is an advantage. You must be fluent in English, both in speech and writing. Other languages, particularly Swedish, would be a benefit.

Therefore it is absolutely vital to be a good listener and to able to communicate in a good way, but also to be have a team oriented spirit.
