What you'll do
As Technical Architect you will be responsible for IT Infrastructure design linked to our Data Centers including Public Cloud providers. The service includes working with everything from strategy, analysis, high level design to leading the operational service delivery from the Managed Service Partner. You will be required to manage smaller projects initiated within the Data Center unit. Your contact areas within Telenor are many, such as Business, Consumer, Networks and our IT Tribes. Your role is to define and communicate IT Infrastructure requirements as well as technical possibilities and limitations.
Your responsibilities will be to:
* Lead the operational delivery of the Managed Service Provider in Storage and Backup domain, define targets and KPIs and ensure regular reporting
* Act as Subject Matter Expert and responsible for the Storage and Backup Domain in Telenor
* Develop IT architecture including creation of technical and security guidelines
* Participate in the IT and Network Infrastructure roadmap creation
* Define and approve technical solutions and performance goals according to functional requirements from stakeholders
* Participate in RFQ processes and provide technical recommendations and vendor selection support
* Drive the security and architecture improvements in alignment with industry best practice and standards
* Create the technical requirements and documentation in the area of responsibility
* Manage the lifecycle of systems in the domain of responsibility
* Regular budgeting and forecast support
Who are you
We're looking for you who have:
* EU Citizenship (required)
* Fluency in English (both written and verbal) is required
* Swedish as a first language is not a requirement but is seen as an advantage
* Master/Bachelor of Science in Telecom or IT, or equivalent work experience
* Extensive experience as IT Infrastructure architect in a setup with an outsourcing partner
* High-end and mid-range storage (block, file and object) and Storage Area Network
* Storage virtualization
* Backup and Restore strategy definition in relation to the RTO and RPO requirements
* Public Cloud technologies related to Storage and Backup
* Operating Systems and Server Virtualization
* IT Security
* Experience with other IT Infrastructure and Networking technologies and domains is an asset
* Knowledge of scripting or programming languages is an asset
