We are looking for a passionate, interested and dynamic Tech Director to look after the technical health and wellbeing of our marketing and game operations systems. We need you to assist with architecting, implementing, analysing, documenting and continuously improving a portfolio of systems crucial to the running of our games business.

You can think clearly in an architectural capacity: we need you to work with our tech teams to build an architecture and roadmap that will take us to a highly-integrated, well-architected, clean technical future!
You are highly collaborative. A principal part of this role is to create the connection between the tech teams in Operations Systems and the broader community of architects, to keep all of us in sync and communicating.
You stay interested in the ever-evolving technical landscape; we need you to be able to recommend new technologies, dev tools and methodologies that can make us more effective, efficient and agile.
You feel ownership of our users' happiness! All of our systems are there to serve our biz people, and our overriding mission is to support them in achieving their goals as effectively as possible.
You feel that you own the quality of our systems; have a continuous drive to automate more, make things more robust, build in a fail-safe way, think about instrumentation and testability up front, ...
You're good in a crisis. When emergencies happen we need a clear thinker to mitigate the issue, assist multiple teams in diagnosing it and then get the simplest possible short-term fix in place.
About You
You have a really strong technical background, with several years spent as a senior developer. You have a long history of being passionate about code.
You have experience in a leadership role; tech lead, architect, project lead or suchlike.
You have experience working with large, complex systems and relational databases. Exposure to data warehousing and high-scale event driven systems is a major plus.
A super-positive, can-do attitude is a must! We want somebody who can Get Stuff Done.
You're articulate, able to express yourself clearly to both devs and non-devs. You're comfortable dealing with senior management, and defending your team's choices against vigorous criticism. We're nice, but we're also determined to get the best solution possible!
You write well. You can express yourself clearly through all media.
You're able to travel - our teams are distributed between sites, and face-to-face time is essential.
