As our quest to democratise financial services continues at blazing speed, Zettle's Platforms Alliance is now looking to strengthen its Platform Services team with a new Tech Lead.

Simply put, this team is in charge of empowering Zettle's feature teams to build and quickly deliver reliable solutions allowing our merchants to succeed in a world of giants. In this spirit, as a Tech Lead you will be leading the work in shaping the way developers will be working and creating the platform upon which we as a company can grow and scale.

Responsibilities for the role:
Grow an inspiring, inclusive and collaborative environment working closely with Tech Managers, Product Managers, Tech Leads and Agile Team Coaches to plan new initiatives, managing technical and non-technical risks.
Establish a shared team technical vision that is aligned with our product roadmap.
Be responsible, along with other Tech Lead(s) within the team, for the full technical domain of the team.
Drives architectural discussions and ensures that the system architecture satisfies the needs of all the stakeholders and key system quality attributes. Continuously communicate technical topics to non-technical stakeholders in an easily understandable way.
Guide the team to continually improve the software development process to speed up feedback and improve quality while managing dependencies and minimise technical debt.
Grow fellow team members by mentoring, cultivate continuous learning and avoid knowledge silos within the team.
Actively contribute and demonstrate healthy modern engineering practices by writing clean, well-tested code. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback if needed.
Be involved in recruitment and help Tech Manager to make the team stronger.

To succeed in the role, we believe you will bring:
A passion for helping build, scale and operate a platform to support the iZettle products.
A product mindset: you care about customer outcomes and you want to make data-informed decisions.
Software engineering experience in one or more general purpose languages (Go, Java, Kotlin, Python etc.).
Experience with modern software engineering practices like the SOLID principles, clean code, test driven development, defensive programming, continuous integration, continuous deployment.
A strong understanding of and experience with cloud infrastructure, observability patterns, CI/CD patterns and cloud security practices.
A passion for building a diverse and inclusive working environment.
Be a role model for the iZettle values and have a strong contact network within the organization.
