Our business
Our global process engineering group is included in a project organisation that is responsible for introducing product changes for trucks, buses and cabs. The organisation goals is to secure new product introductions with zero disturbance at our final assemblies in Södertälje, Anger, Zwolle, Sao Paulo, Poland and at Scania owned KD-workshops around the world. Our contribution to reach those targets is to secure that all new products that are being developed fulfils our production targets, possible to assemble in our global master sequence and develop assembly tools in order to industrialize the new products at Scania.
Your assignment:
Working as a Team leader within global process engineer, you are a technical spider in a large web that spins across R&D, purchasing, external suppliers, aftermarket and the production units. You have an important role in the development of both the product and the process where the end user is always the focus.
Your main task will be to support and coach your teams in the process of shaping the product and the process so that it is as easy to assemble as possible. This means close cross-functional work together with many functions such as R&D, external suppliers and of course the chassis workshops in Europe and South America. You work with requirements for new assembly tools and equipment as well as the development of the global assembly sequence. In every step, we work to achieve our ergonomics, quality and productivity goals.
The work takes place in project form where we dynamically discuss possibilities and solutions with designers, technicians and installers. The group consists of approx. 18 engineers in different roles and the work has a strong international character with continuous rotation of employees from the global final assembly factories.
We have a very exciting time ahead of us with ongoing projects and upcoming major introductions in electrification. The task is becoming increasingly challenging as the future demands faster introductions and more complex products. At the same time, the demands for efficient assembly with better ergonomics and quality are also increasing.
Your profile
We are now looking for someone who has a an interest in technology and wants to work with process and product development in a global environment. We believe that you are a strong team
player that likes to take responsibility and is driven to challenge yourself. You like to work structured aand can easily adapt to new circumstances. The role require good collaboration and communication skills.
We see that you have a university or civil engineering education or equivalent experience within relevant area.
We demand that you have 8-9 years of experience in Scania Production technology or other relevant areas within Scania. The position requires good knowledge of English.
