The SKF Group Manufacturing Development Centre in Gothenburgis the central research and development facility for manufacturing processes used in SKF. To strengthen our competence in the field of heat treatment, we are looking for a
Team Leader - Heat Treatment
(Gruppchef Värmebehandling)
Sökord: PhD, Civilingenjör, licentiat, värmebehandling, materialvetenskap, tillverkning, metallurg, gruppchef.
We are looking for a team leader in Heat Treatment. A team leader has budget and full employee responsibility of 4-10 employees, and reports to the Department Manager.
Key tasks
• Manage and develop resources to provide required competencies and an efficient R&D service in line with future strategic direction
• Define project teams and set up targets and main activities for technology projects in cooperation with Competence Area Leaders and Divisional Key Account Managers.
• Ensure efficient project execution with high quality in assigned areas.
• Ensure that the delivered R&D results are in-line with project objectives.
• Budget and result responsibility for the related competence areas.
• Follow-up project results in assigned areas.
Requirements
• University degree in engineering or equivalent
• People management and/or team leading experience with ability to develop the team to meet current and future challenges (according to SKF values).
• Documented experience in the area of heat treatment and/or materials development.
• Understanding and experience of project management and/or working in a project based organization is an advantage.
• Experience of working within process developments and a broad technical understanding and interest.
• Ability to interact and create shared commitment at different organizational levels.
• Good communication skills.
• Being fluent in English is a prerequisite.
• High level of own drive and commitment.
