hela Sverige Develop the team within mechanical and electrical engineering for motors and gearboxes with their competencies and technical skills. Responsible to ensure excellent technical execution of projects, development of products (traction motors & gearboxes) and empowerment of the staff for cross site and functional working and future challenges with worldwide localization. The main product area is Medium Power Propulsion.
YOUR ROLE
• You will maintain a close contact with staff on status of their work.
• You will be responsible with communicating and enforcing the engineer's responsibility for tracking their progress and adherence to budgeted hours through task planning.
• You will develop action plans and coordinates resources to address and resolve problems as needed.
• You will be responsible with developing leadership and direction to the staff of engineers within the team;
• You will ensure adherence to engineering processes to provide high quality designs that meet customer's schedule and expectation.
• You will coordinate and drive the low-cost engineering support.
• Will be responsible with ensuring that the engineering team is focused on meeting the financial, schedule and technical requirements of the projects they are responsible for.
• Develop the engineering team to achieve full potential and maximum contributions from the team.
• Will create and implement plans to improve employee skills, motivation and engagement.
• Will be responsible of the management and development of relevant skills (workforce planning, performance management, career development, succession planning and recruitment).
• You will optimizes communication and relationships with customers and other functions.
• Will be responsible with the continuous optimization of processes/tools/behaviours by taking into account business requirements, customer needs, technical innovations, and new market conditions.
• Master in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering;
• Minimum of 6 years of related professional and technical experience;
• Have experience in managing an engineering team in a complex organization and international projects;
• Having experience in leading the development of products with good understanding of electrical or/and mechanical engineering (desired would be electrical motors or gearboxes);
• Having experiences in managing a department (governance, budgeting, cost controlling, people development, recruiting);
• English at a business fluent level is essential for the job;
• Swedish at an intermediate level is essential for the job.
