We are organised to achieve our goals and our Teachers work in interdisciplinary teams around the students. Interdisciplinary approaches are also an important tool to create a whole for the students.
Our students have 1:1 computers which are used as a learning tool. We expect our Teachers to be in the forefront of using computers as a tool in the learning process for students.
We have an active Student Union and over 40 clubs and societies ranging from Amnesty International to Debating Society.
Kungsholmens gymnasium offers a very stimulating learning environment for both students and Teachers and is therefore one of Stockholm's most popular and successful gymnasium schools.

We have a vacancy for a Teacher of Mathematics and Social Science subjects, Social Studies/History/Geography, within the International Section of the school where all teaching is done in English. The vacancy is approximately 50 % Mathematics and, together with courses in Social Science could be 100 %. The teaching is within the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma programme, the Natural Science Programme and the Social Science programme.
Publiceringsdatum2015-04-07ArbetsuppgifterWe have a vacancy for a qualified Teacher of Mathematics and Social Science subjects within the International Section of our school. All teaching in the International Section is in English.
Our teachers work in teams and in an integrated way with other subject specialists. Our teachers are also mentors for a group of students with responsibility for giving support and being the link between the school and the home.
Our students all have 1:1 computers and these should be used actively in learning situations.
KvalifikationerApplicants must have a teaching qualification and should have received teacher certification (lärarlegitimation) from Skolverket. A university degree in Mathematics and Social Science subjects is a requirement.
You must be able to teach in English, preferably at native speaker level.
Knowledge of Swedish is also advantageous (and a pre-requisite to receiving teacher certification in Sweden).
An interest in, and experience of, using 1:1 computers in teaching and learning situations is also required.
The timetable for teaching will be available in August.
Löneform: Månadslön. Individual salaries dependent upon relevant qualifications and experience.
Anställningsform: Tidsbegränsad anställning.
Applications are welcome from those who have experience of teaching Mathematics within the IB Diploma programme and also within the Social Science programme. It is also an advantage if applicants have experience of working as a mentor with young people.
It will also be considered a merit if the applicant has experience of working in a laborative way with Mathematics and can integrate the use of 1:1 computers in teaching situations and who like to work in a team.
Varaktighet: 6 månader eller längre. The post is available for the 2015-16 academic year.
