We advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing indirect taxes, dispute resolution, and global enterprise tax solutions.
Our team helps our clients identify and reduce tax risks, meet compliance obligations, implement tax strategies that complement business and operational objectives, resolve disagreements with tax authorities, and manage tax accounting and reporting issues. We are engaged in projects dealing with International tax, mergers and acquisitions, state and local tax accounting, regulatory processes, tax reporting and strategy.
In Sweden, we are more than 370 tax and legal consultants working with national and international tax and legal issues, of which 60 are stationed in Gothenburg. We work with clients from all areas, from small to large companies, public actors, non-profit organizations and private individuals. At our tax department at the Gothenburg office, we have several specialist groups and right now we are looking for you who want to join the VAT team.
Job description
As a Manager you will work independently as a tax consultant in the Gothenburg VAT team and have the responsibility for due diligence, legal investigations and problem solving as well as being an interlocutor to your colleagues. Our team consists of experienced colleagues who share knowledge and support each other.
As a Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Senior Managers and above
• Be involved in the financial management of clients
• Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
• Contribute to the development of your own and team's technical acumen
• Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges
• Assist in the management and delivering of large projects
• Train, coach, and supervise staff
• Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
• Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand
Preferred skills
• A law degree and interest for tax and economics, or an economics degree with great interest in tax law.
• At least 5 years of experience in working with VAT from law firm, firm of accountants, Tax Authority or the business sector.
• Master Swedish and English both verbally and in writing
