The Indirect Purchasing team at Sandvik Coromant in Gimo works strategically to ensure the most efficient cost, quality and reliability for our business. We continually work to identify possible new ways to improve the efficiency and profitability, both within our stable portfolio of existing suppliers and by negotiating new contracts. We are now looking for a self-motivated and experienced Tactical Purchaser to support and work strategically together with the IT department in a new and exciting role.
This position is located in Gimo.
Key performance areas
As a Tactical Purchaser at Sandvik Coromant, your main assignment is to create an organized structure for the purchasing needs of the IT department. You revise, analyze and negotiate both current and new contracts in order to prioritize and rationalize the department's purchasing. To succeed in this role, you have an understanding for and interest in the whole purchasing process, and a great ability to see the whole process through, from start to finalized contract. This position offers a varied and challenging purchasing role with great possibilities to work independently within a global, demanding and rewarding organization.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with either a degree in a relevant field, such as purchasing or logistics, or work experience from equivalent fields. You have several years of experience as a tactical buyer, preferably within IT, an understanding of the commercial side of purchasing and excellent skills in negotiating contracts. Since we work locally but in an international setting, you have a professional level of communicating in both Swedish and English.
