Tactical Buyer
to Sourcing Department, Rönnskär
Sourcing function within BA Smelters is strengthening its organization with a view to further improve its capabilities and support strategic sourcing activities. We are now looking for a structured and development-oriented Tactical Buyer to be stationed at Boliden Rönnskär.
Tactical Buyer has the responsibility to keep daily contacts with our internal customers, manage the tactical purchase operations and escalate relevant cases to the responsible Category Managers.
In cases where a local contract (i.e. limited to one site) is appropriate, the Tactical Buyer will perform the sourcing activities and participate in the negotiations regarding these contracts. As a part of the locally stationed Sourcing team you will also ascertain that relevant EHS-criteria as well as other internal guidelines are followed during the sourcing process.
Tactical Buyer will report to the local Sourcing Site Lead. The location will be at Boliden Rönnskär smelter.
The Tactical Buyer contributes to the fulfilment of purchasing goals by:
• Sourcing execution - Secure progress in local procurement needs in order to secure the timely delivery of products and services in a cost efficient manner.
• Communication and Stakeholder management - To establish and maintain good working relations with key stakeholders and suppliers
• Contract Management - Secure that existing contracts are used in daily purchasing activities
• Providing input and information to Sourcing Managers and other key stakeholders on daily procurement needs
• Securing EBP processes - Safety -ascertain that necessary safety guidelines are followed in purchasing processes
Competence and experience
• Academic or higher vocational degree and/or 2-3 years of relevant work experience
• Procurement experience, either from a role in procurement or from operations
• Good IT-skills knowledge in Maximo and Ariba software is an advantage
• Languages: Understanding, speaking, reading, writing and presenting in English and Swedish, any other language skills are of advantage
• Communication skills
• Analytic, Structured, People oriented, Ethical, Problem Solving, Determination.
