Purpose of the job
As a Systems Engineer you will identify input requirements (typically from a customer) and formalize them into design requirements and interface specifications for our products. This includes liaising with customers, systems engineers, validators, assessors and homologation authorities and other stakeholders.
In addition the definition and documentation of all safety-related documentation will be part of your work scope, such as maintaining and following up the hazard- and safety analyses and related tasks in conjunction with constructing the safety case of a product.
You will be working in a project team, closely together with developers and testers. In your role as systems engineer you will also need to continuous seed feedback by soliciting and receiving feedback about the customer/user experience regarding the system and products.
Additional tasks might be allocated according to your individual skills and current company requirements.
In your role you will:
* Choose the design and functionality to meet customer and safety requirements
* Define the safety concept and verification concepts
* Produce and review technical documentation related to the system
* Establish and maintain interfaces with other engineering departments
* Evaluate the non-conformities
Your experience and qualifications
• Bachelor degree in Engineering
* 5+ years of experience required
* Experience with the methodologies for analyzing and specifying systems including safety functions
* Experience with specification and documentation of complex technical systems
* Knowledge of railway operation procedures, knowledge in software engineering (real-time, distributed, safe and fault-tolerant systems).
* Ability to communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders and to resolve conflicts
* Swedish and English business fluent are mandatory for this role; German is an added plus
* Willingness to occasional travelling mainly in Europe
