Main Duties includes; Issue system, functional level, interface and verification specifications. Providing resources for projects and product maintenance within the area of responsibility of the team and work in accordance with Time To Market model. Suggest and provide technical pre-studies on system level. Maintain knowledge and expertise on ETSI/ANSI regulations
Further responsibilities are; Establishment and enhancement of development strategies, methods and tools for the team. Supporting with competence in the core area of the team, e. g. System design and I&V methodology. Point out shortage, conflicts and estimate use of resources. Support and lead new members of the group according to applicable routines. Follow the development of technique through literature, seminars and patent watch. Suggest patent ideas and issue patent applications in actual cases.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
PhD/Masters/Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical area. The Systems Engineer should have 5+ years of experience with a track record of progressively increasing responsibilities in Microwave Communication product development. The candidate should also have the capability to lead technical development of a program including; analyzing complex system requirements, allocating design requirements to subsystems, performing RF analysis, leading integration and acceptance testing, working with customers to meet contract requirements. Demonstrate leadership capabilities over a team of detail design engineers. Have a strong aptitude for problem solving with good organizational and documentation skills. Be a team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and willingness to mentor junior team members.
Background experience should include the areas; Microwave Communication Systems. Dialog & Analog signal processing. Modem system design.
Additional experience should also include some of the areas;
• Traffic control system design
• TCP/IP based protocols and applications such as SNMP, RIP, OSPF, FTP and telnet
• Network Management
• PDH/SDH standards
• System simulation tools
• Matlab
