System Verification Leader - Traction Batteries
As System Verification Leader at Traction Batteries, you will plan, coordinate and follow up tests within the electrochemical, electrical, mechanical, control and thermal area for traction batteries and see to that methods are developed used for validation. You will secure that validations are performed in the increasing number of battery electric and hybrid vehicle projects.
We at PES (Propulsion Energy Systems) are now investing heavily in developing our analysis operations for traction batteries in terms of testing and through developing our new battery lab. The analyses of traction batteries grow fast and challenges both VCC, battery suppliers and our OEM competitors.
Your responsibilities as S System Verification Leader will include specifying and planning of various tests for structural, thermal, electrical, EMC, and control validations of batteries in close cooperation with design, test and simulations engineers both internally and from other departments, like durability and safety. You will also interact with colleagues, at other units within R&D or external companies and organizations.
Main responsibilities
* Responsible for ordering and specifying tests of battery pack systems towards Volvo Cars internal lab, supplier or external test labs
* Develop and verify test methods for battery pack systems together with the engineering teams
* Secure coordination between our development team and test labs
* Follow up all test activities in project to secure complete validation of components and systems regarding durability/life expectancy according to requirements
* Be part of the development team where you will verify CAE data and provide essential input
Required qualifications
* Previous experience from testing of vehicle systems, both software and hardware
* Interest in administration and documentation
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
* Driver 's license B

* Able to act independently as well as to cooperate within a team
* Good documentation skills
* Enthusiasm for electrification of vehicles
