The first purpose of the SSE role is to support design engineers in the PSS in the usage of system safety processes and methods. The second purpose is to verify that the suppliers are achieving adequate system safety in projects.
Main tasks
Verify that the VCC system safety processes and methods are used.
Act as the project system safety manager in accordance to ISO 26262.
Support and verify the VCC system safety work products.
Verify suppliers' system safety work products.
Perform system safety assessment of supplier's products.
Possibilities of development
As a System Safety Engineer you will have a specialist role in our team. The responsibility of the section spreads across many different disciplines and there will be a lot of possibilities to make acquaintance with all of these within the role so you will develop a very broad competence base.
About you
The person we are looking for has a master degree in engineering and knowledge in the functional safety standard ISO 26262. It is a benefit if you have knowledge of VPDS and system and/or component design.
In this role you need to be structured, have analytic abilities and strong ability for cross functional and multi-cultural teamwork. You are used to cooperate, discuss and communicate with different people in different roles, and you also have a positive and proactive attitude. You also need to develop great knowledge of the standard.
