System Manager Wheel Suspension Functions
We are looking for a System Manager willing to take the full responsibility for all complete active systems deliverables (functions, software, electronic components etc) within the Wheel Suspension, Wheels and Tires module team. You will be part of the team located in Gothenburg with persons from Sweden, China, Hungary, India etc.
As a system manager you will lead a team of system engineers, function and software engineers to generate function lists, realize the functions and prepare software. Some parts of the assignment include developing requirements, evaluate concepts and system solutions and you will drive the work towards suppliers according to requirements. The system manager is an important participant in setting up the complete business contract with suppliers for all the components in the system.
CEVT has global lead on Wheel suspension platform functions, e.g dTPMS, active damping. If the global lead for a wheel suspension function is at Geely in China then CEVT is an important stakeholder in that function and support/work with the Chinese team.
Our department creates the front and rear axle of cars including wheel equipment for several platforms which in next step are built into several different cars for several OEM brands. A lot of cooperation between System Manager and other parties: experts, customers, suppliers, project management, top management etc., is required to get the correct properties in the cars behavior and correct business setup for our company.
Responsibilities and tasks
• Lead the team and distribute work tasks so all projects get correct deliverables in time
• Lead the technical development and innovation on the system area.
• Make sure all stakeholders get their functional requirements
• Create and sell in new functionalities for the area and chassis / complete vehicle.
• Support in balancing attribute requirements (NVH, handling, Durability, braking etc.) and technical requirements with supplier ability.
• Be responsible for the overall time planning for your system.
• Provide technical expertise in various fora
• Support the function development in concept phase and lead the industrialization phase until launch.
• Support the defined release routines and release plans
Profile and Background
• Minimum B.Sc. in Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering or similar
• Documented experience from working with Automotive Product Development or Testing
• Knowledge in System weaver, Team Center and Microsoft Office
• Good knowledge of the ISO26262 automotive safety standard
• Good team builder and role model
• You have a positive attitude and interest in working in project teams and cross functional teams where you find solutions to complex problems together with other people/teams. You are willing to help others and to ask for help when needed.
• Have an openness and awareness of Asian, European and foreign cultures.
• You have an ability to work independently and take decisions to deliver according to targets and project plans in a changing environment.
• Experience of leading function development work
• Ability to write requirement documents in a structured and readable way
• Well-structured personality
• Personnel leading and planning skills are vital
• Driver's License Type B
• Fluent in English, both speaking and written
