We currently have the following job opening;
System Manager University Cooperation/Public Funding
The function area Powertrain Engineering is responsible for the development of transmissions and electric propulsion systems and the controls associated with these systems. In the area, the newly formed unit Advanced Engineering & Concepts is the responsible project function for the development of new technology systems and concepts. The technologies are the main future, global powertrain solutions for the Geely group.
To strengthen our team for future challenges and projects, we are now looking for one System Manager University Cooperation/Public Funding.
Role Summary
As System Manager University Cooperation/Public Funding - Powertrain Engineering Advanced Engineering & Concepts you are managing the cooperation with universities as well as the administration of public funding activities for the technology development. In your daily work you work closely with the different organizational functions within Powertrain Engineering, Finance and Legal. Together, you are developing and maintaining a strategy for university cooperation and public funding that is in line with the strategic technology and competence development plan.
Responsibilities and tasks
- Based on the ongoing projects as well as the strategic technology development plan define and maintain the public funding strategy for Powertrain Engineering
- Based on technology development, the technical competence development plan and the public funding strategy define and maintain the strategy for university cooperation activities
- Drive measures together with responsible managers to close identified gaps in early technology development
- Represent Powertrain Engineering in external activities
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering
- More than 3 years of work experience in application and running of public funded projects
- Good understanding of present/future trends within automotive technology Meriting is a network based on previous work in this area
- Team player but with the ability to work independently
- Structured and systematic
- Good oral and written communication skills in English
- Cultural awareness, especially Asian - European culture
- Ability to travel
- Driver's license B
