We currently have the following job opening;
System Engineer Fuel Filler Pipe
We are looking for a dedicated System Engineer to strengthen our Fuel and Exhaust Engineering Team. Your responsibility will be on Fuel Filler Pipes within the Fuel System. As a System Engineer you are installing and designing Fuel System components (Fuel filler pipes), securing that all system requirements are met, like Fuel functionality, NVH, corrosion, crash safety etc. Our components are in an environment that has complex geometries and you will get a wide network throughout the company and with the involved suppliers.
Responsibilities and tasks
• Develops system design solutions based on Geely Auto and Volvo Cars best practice to meet new requirements
• Develops the PSS commodities according to VPDS/NPDS to meet QDCF (Quality, Delivery, Cost & Function) targets at respective gate.
• Define plans and monitors system testing and validation
• Lead, coordinate and develops the Global functional team in Sweden and China.
• Contact with suppliers in order to lead technology development and validation of these and to deliver results according to the project requirements and a product of world class.
• Lead and coordinates the supplier process (selection, product development...) to meet QDCF targets at respective gate.
• Present status before the project team in both Swedish and English.
• Communication with other units of the Powertrain Integration in terms of calibration and verification, and that the activities performed map to reach agreed target.
• Participate / Lead engineering meetings internal / external in the commodity.
• Ensure that the right material is available for each Pre-series/sample builds.
• Ensure that 3D/2D is available for existing milestones. Participates / driver change management process, and that the E-BOM is correct for each commodity.
Profile and Background
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in engineering or equal experience.
• Minimum 5 years' experience of automotive development
• Experience within Powertrain development is required; Fuel System development is meritorious.
• Excellent in co-operation, networking, team-working.
• Fluent in English both written and spoken.
• You are a skilled user and have documented experience of working in Team center viewer
• You are a skilled user in Microsoft Office
• You are flexible and structured, can work independently as well as in teams.
• You have a strong drive and engagement, self-going and self-learning.
• You have a genuine interest in automotive and can combine practical and theoretical knowledge.
• You are willing to help others and to ask for help when needed.
• You have an openness and awareness of Asian, European and foreign cultures.
