Boss Media is one of the world's leading independent software providers of complete online gaming solutions within poker, bingo, casino, payments and gaming management systems.
Boss Media, Finsoft (leading sportsbook sw provider), St Minver (leading full service and white label provider) and Dynamite Idea (Online interactive betting games) are all part of the New Media & Sports Betting Co (NMSBCO), owned by the GTECH Group. Together the companies within NMSBC form a complete online gaming solutions provider.
Boss Media is now in a position to scale up development which we are doing both locally and with the help of offshoring partners. Therefore we need to increase the team working with Gaming Management System, our next generation back office product for the gaming industry.
In the development work we are using Scrum, an agile development process. You are a part of a team which pulls tasks from a prioritized list and takes on the responsibility to design, implement and test these within given time frames. To facilitate this, the team has all the competence needed and they work independently.
We practice test driven development and are generally speaking open to use the latest technology in software development.
To Boss Media headquarters in Växjö, Sweden, we are looking for candidates interested in system development in Java EE and who are ready to take on the challenge of working with our system. It is a plus if you have been working with the following techniques: JBoss, Hibernate, Spring, Webservices, SQL, Oracle. Also C# and .NET is an advantage. If you complement your java skills with Oracle design, operation and performance experiences you match our requirements even better.
Also if you have worked with scalability issues or have experience from Gigaspaces, Coherence or similar, it would be interesting.
We think you have a university diploma in computer science or similar and that you have worked at least three years as a java server developer in larger software projects.
You should have a genuine programming interest, good understanding of development processes and very good competence in java and some of the techniques mentioned above.
On the personal side you should have the ability to drive issues independently and actively, be careful and flexible, like to work in a team and you should be fluent in English.
