hela Sverige The Security and Body Electronics section, 94230, is responsible for design, implementation and verification of software and hardware for functionality in the Central Electronic Module (CEM) and the Vehicle Computational Unit (VCU1). The section is also responsible for functionality and components within Alarm, Remote and Immobilizer systems as well as the electrical system solutions for Exterior Light, Visibility, Sound Signalling and Locking. The section is part of the unit Vehicle Software & Electronics division and consists of around 65 people working in four different groups.
The Body Electronics group, 94231, is responsible for creating the electrical system solutions for Exterior Light, Sound Signalling and Visibility. The group is also responsible for the development of body controllers, gateway modules and exterior light control modules, all vital parts to realize a high-class customer experience.
We are looking for a System Design Engineer in the area of Exterior Light. You will develop the electrical system solution for exterior lights in existing vehicles as well as new projects. The exterior light system area has evolved over the last years to become one of the most styling sensitive and complex systems in the car. You will work close together with component designers in a cross-functional agile scrum team using SAFE framework. The team target is to develop a state-of-the art exterior light system solution.
You will have opportunity to visit suppliers in order to follow up technical status.
Main responsibilities
* Develop system solutions and document the system requirements
* Plan and carry out FMEA activities and safety analyses for ASIL classified requirements
* Perform design reviews to secure that the solution fulfil all legal, functional and industrial requirements
* Change Management i.e. updating requirements based on quality issues or functional growth
* Present proposals for system solutions for pre-program investigations, with associated cost, time and technical consequences
Required qualifications
* B.Sc. grade within Electronics, Computers, Engineering Physics, or a similar level of education
* Knowledge of System Safety standard ISO26262 and Autosar
* Fluent in English
* Driving license
Meritorious
* Documented experience from system design for automotive industry
* Experience from software or hardware design
* Other language skills
Personal qualifications
* Self-driven and reliable
* Result- and business oriented
* Structured with good documentation and communication skills
