hela Sverige Our group Architecture & Non-Propulsive Control consists of 11 persons responsible for, among other things, System and functional development of Powertrain nodes. We collaborate with internal and external multi-national system suppliers. The group is part of the control system section, which is responsible for the implementation and design of software and hardware for all driveline variants. The section is part of the Vehicle Propulsion unit, which is a part of Volvo Cars R&D.
Since our System Architect moved on to new challenges, we need to reinforce the team. The System Architect's aim is to ensure that all electrical and electronic subsystems function correctly and as a whole. The System Architect also has the mandate to lead the development of a balanced architecture, implicitly a coordination of technical solutions and their implementation for all subsystems. Modelling of the new system solutions to fit into the logical architecture, as well as adapt the logical architecture to needs of new system solutions. The successful candidate also gets the opportunity to influence future ways of working with system design at Volvo Cars.
The System Architect's aim is to ensure that the electrical/electronic subsystems operating together:
* Participate in the design of a complete electrical architecture and design of a powertrain architecture based on functional content and desired properties.
* Participate in the design of logical architecture, system breakdown, as well as network topology and requirements of the ECU architecture.
* Support the design of subsystems and components in terms of architecture.
* Assist the PSS in the design and impact analysis of proposed system solutions for a proposed architecture.
* Participate in the process of delivering a project-specific architecture (SRD 0A), including logical architecture.
Responsibilities
* Modelling of the logical architecture: frequent alignment with SA and the function developers within the modelled domain.
* Identify coming changes to the architecture in order to meet future needs.
* Support the design of subsystems and components impacted by the architecture assisted by design and architecture reviews.
* Assist the PSS in the design and impact analysis of proposed system solutions for a proposed architecture.
* During the industrialisation phase, participate in gap analysis / verification activities in order to approve deviations from the frozen SRD0A.
Whom we are looking for:
Desired Background
* Education to least M.Sc. level in a relevant engineering discipline, such as electro, mechanics, automation, physics, or computer science, or the equal competence by years of practice.
* Experience in model based development, SysML or UML.
* Broad knowledge of the complete electrical system design.
* Good communication and teamwork is essential, as well as a structured approach.
* High ability to analyze and realize functions with a holistic view.
* An ambitious person with a great ability to get to the finish.
* English speaking in a work setting
Meritorious
* Experience from previous work with electrical system architecture.
* Understanding of model-based systems, preferably with experience from Simulink/TargetLink.
* Driving license for passenger car (B).
