The role
In this role you will be responsible to test and verify the functionality in the Symsoft telecom platform, including functional tests, end-to-end system tests as well as performance tests. In addition you will be developing and maintaining the automatic test suites. You will be part of one of our R&D development teams and will be a key player in ensuring that our products have high quality. You will also participate in troubleshooting and problem solving.
As a System Tester you will come in contact with many different technologies, many of them related to telecommunications. For example:
• TCP/IP, Diameter, SIP, SS7 and a lot of other signaling protocols
• Applications for real-time handling of messages, voice and data sessions in a telecom network.
• Databases, primarily Oracle DB
• Linux and Solaris
Examples of tools that we use are:
• GIT
• Maven
• Eclipse
• Jira
• JMeter
Requirements and Responsibilities:
We are looking for someone with experience from system-level testing of software systems or experience of working with similar, complex technologies preferably related to telecommunications. You have an MSc in Computer Technology/Science or similar education. The main language at Symsoft is English so it's an requirement that you are fluent in English.
As a person you are passionate about technology and are eager to learn. You enjoy, and have the ability, to rapidly gain understanding of technical solutions both on an architectural level as well as on a detail level.
