Job description:
You will work developing software for WCDMA radio base stations, of which Ericsson delivers hundreds of thousands every year. For a start you will focus in the control plane, which basically controls the functioning of the base station by setting up calls, Internet access, video calls, handling handovers between cells and other radio base stations, etc. When an operator launches higher mobile broadband speeds you will be able to say: I am part of that.
As a software developer you will join an Agile team in which you will work with developing end to end features, and therefore participating in all the different phases of the development: from analysing the requirements and the impact of the feature in the system (typically called systemisation), through software analysis and design, to verification and test of the feature in real hardware.
You will also be involved in platform projects, where big redesigns are carried out, and which are tested on prototype hardware. Finally, research activities are also carried out in the organisation, looking into the future challenges, and how to solve them in the best possible way, with the technologies of the future.
You must be a person with a strong self-drive as well as a great ability to work in teams.

• MSc on Computer Science Engineering or similar
• Object Oriented Design and Programming
• Functional Design and Programming
• C++

• Functional languages
