Job Summary
Reporting to the President of Volvo CE, the Senior Vice President, Human Resource Management is responsible for translating business strategy and Group HR Strategy into HR-plans and HR-activities that deliver our business goals as well as providing HR advice and HR support in line with Volvo's Service Delivery model, values, processes and policies to Volvo CE senior management as well as HR Business Partners and HR professionals around the world. The Senior Vice President is a member of Volvo CE Executive Management team and as the HR functional expert within the Business Area is an active contributor to the fulfillment of the company's strategic objectives. S/he is responsible for developing Volvo CE Human Resource strategy, plans and activities to support the achievement of the Volvo Group HR and Volvo CE Business strategies globally. The Senior Vice President is a member of Volvo Group HR Council, Chair of the Volvo CE HR Council, and is an active contributing member of various steering committees and working groups in the Volvo Group and Volvo CE.

• Develop and lead the implementation of Volvo CE Human Resource objectives, strategies, programs processes and policies
• Support the development of a business culture with high ethical standards in line with Volvo values, standards and principles
• Support change management and organizational development to improve business performance, process orientation and cooperation across Volvo CE and the Volvo Group.
• Advise, challenge and support Volvo CE senior management on HR and related matters.
• Guide, coach and develop HR business partners in Volvo CE operating business entities in the field of Human Resource Management.
• Lead leadership sourcing, talent development management succession planning, performance management, competence development processes to secure high quality leadership skills and competencies and performance.
• Develop and implement Compensation practices to support the business needs, consistent with Volvo Group policy
• Implement effective HR management processes in collaboration with Volvo Group Centers of Expertise and Service Centers.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Strong professionalism and high integrity.
• Demonstrated commitment to and experience of customer focused and process-driven organizations.
• Experience of working effectively in diverse organisations preferably including industrial and commercial functions and in different geographic and cultural contexts.
• Strong leadership skills in managing change, with proven ability to develop and maintain internal and external relations.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, matrix environment and with virtual teams.
• Ability to design, communicate and implement innovative and effective HR solutions to help achieve business goals.
• Master degree or equivalent - preferably within the fields of HRM or Management and extensive professional experience in HRM in international and multicultural environments with exposure to both strategic and operational HR management
• Master written and spoken English; Other languages useful and appreciated.
