Right now we have an exciting opportunity within the field of sustainability at AkzoNobel Specialty Chemicals in Bohus!
The Central Sustainability team is responsible for providing the businesses and functions of our company with sustainability expertize, assessments, performance reporting and result analysis, advice, recommendations etc to enable the businesses to deliver on our strategy.
The Sustainability Specialist funtions as an expert within the field of sustainability where the primary purpose is to support the delivery of the sustainability agenda across the AkzoNobel Specialty Chemicals businesses and functions. Your role will be to support and guide the businesses of AkzoNobel Specialty Chemicals in their work to develop and sell more sustainable products and to make their processes more resource efficient.,
Main responsibilities
• Perform life cycle assessments and eco efficiency assessments. This means providing businesses/functions with assessments and recommendations for decision making regarding investments, technologies, new products, new raw materials etc. as well as life cycle assessments for external communication.
• Support execution and maintenance of sustainability reporting processes. Keep our carbon reporting models up to date and support our internal and external sustainability reporting.
• Act as a Key User for our life cycle assessment software GaBi
• Assist in supporting businesses/functions to embed key sustainability activities in their core processes.
• Support in pilots of new initiatives in selected parts of the business and analyze the results.
• Master's degree in technical discipline (or similar) with background in environmental science and system analysis/life cycle management.
• Analytical skills and interest and excellent knowledge of Excel.
• Experience in working with life cycle assessment software, preferably GaBi.
• Project management skills/ ability to work independent and flexible/ result orientation.
• Great communication skills and fluent in English.
