Volvo Cars wants to achieve a sustainable transition of our global building stock. We are working with a new real estate strategy for all our non-manufacturing facilities where sustainability and attractiveness are to be on par with cost and all facilities will be graded based on sustainability, attractiveness, and cost performance.
This is to support our long-term vision of becoming climate neutral and fully circular by 2040 as well as our short-term target of achieving 100% climate neutral energy use in all owned and leased facilities by 2025.

Who we are
You will be part of the sustainability team within the Volvo Cars global facility team. The team is responsible for shaping the global building sustainability strategy and guiding its implementation, by focusing on cross-functional alignment and raising the ambition level in line with decided strategies.

What you'll do
At Volvo Cars, you will be responsible for our facility sustainability data which is being collected in our internally developed IT support tool FEST (Facility Environmental and Sustainability Tool). You will also be responsible for analyzing and reporting the data to internal and external reports, e.g., EU Corporate Sustainability reporting directives (CSRD), as well as adding new requirements on FEST and other relevant systems/tools when additional data or analyzes are needed. You will also be responsible for setting new targets when relevant as well as working with our global colleagues to set up action plans on how to reach the targets and follow them up.

What you'll bring
You have a university degree in a relevant area, e.g., industrial ecology, environmental engineering or similar and a few years of relevant work experience within sustainability. At the same time, you really enjoy data handling and structure as a lot of data needs to be handled, analyzed, and reported on a regular basis. Knowledge of the CSRD is beneficial.

Who you are
We see that you are a collaborator who builds trust to drive results in a good way. Communication skills are important to create engagement around the topics. Attention to detail and robust analytical skills are key qualities we're looking for.
