GLOBAL PURCHASING is looking for a
SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER (SQE)
Located in Gothenburg
Volvo Penta Purchasing has the responsibility to manage sourcing of parts for production and testing for the Volvo Penta business. Setting clear and challenging goals and following-up the execution of the strategies and activities to achieve the goals are vital parts of our success.
SQE is responsible for all aspects of supplier performance regarding quality, delivery, and launch readiness. The SQE is expected work in a team environment both internally and externally with suppliers to develop and implement best practices that emphasize defect prevention, reduction in variation and waste and provide for continuous improvements in meeting all customer requirements.
We highly appreciate a positive attitude, a target oriented approach, and good interpersonal skills.

Expected Qualifications:
• Good knowledge of quality and environmental standards such as ISO 9001/ISO TS16949/ISO 14001
• Demonstrated experience of quality work and methods like APQP/PPAP/Lean/MSA etc. is required
• Good technical knowledge, ability to understand drawings and Technical Requirements
• Experience in specific manufacturing processes used for engine components for example: casting, machining, surface treatment or electrical components are desirable
• University degree in engineering or equivalent
• Fluency-oral and written-in Swedish and English is expected
