Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
The department

Shortage Management is looking for a committed team member who is interested in how Scania works with securing capacity and mitigating risks in our supply chain. You will work in the Capacity & Risk Management department which is part of the central purchasing organization in Sweden.

The aim is to ensure maximum capacity of parts and components towards all global production units in the short term. You report directly to the purchasing department in Sweden. You will belong to one of three teams that work with shortage handling in Supply Chain.

Do you like working in a highly dynamic, cross-functional, and international environment with a high tempo and great development possibilities? Come join us! The CCRM team makes sure all risks, short to long term, that might have an impact on Scania's ability to deliver on customer promises are handled in a swift and professional manner. We are currently in an intensive period with many challenges, many of them dealt with globally and often together within the Traton group.

What will you do in this position?

As a Supplier Escalation Man, you come into the picture as soon as there are current or potential capacity limitations at suppliers that (possibly) have consequences for Scania's production or spare parts. You focus on analyzing the cause of the problem and are often on location to initiate the necessary activities and follow up the implementations. You are their first point of contact and play a leading and coordinating role between all parties involved and the realization of the necessary actions.

Profile
Thanks to your international work experience and knowledge of logistics and production processes (preferably within Automotive), you are quickly able to get to the heart of issues or problems. You are a fully-fledged discussion partner from Scania Global for our suppliers through your strong personality, natural flair and decisive analytical approach. At urgent moments, you are the person who makes decisions. Production failures have a huge impact and in these situations you know how to achieve the right (short) term solutions and make good proposals for the longer term. In this role you get a lot of freedom and responsibility and you travel multiple times (also ad hoc) to suppliers at home and abroad.

• We believe you are an engineer or business graduate with experience in material- or production planning within Scania P&L, preferably working with cross-functional supply chain activities.

• You express an interest in logistical and technical issues, focus on results, and have a strong ability to take initiative.

• Good knowledge about production processes and Supply chain processes for the automotive business, thorough experience from logistics and/or purchasing including being used to supplier contacts.

• Self-driven, courageous, demanding, and direct with the ability to ask the right questions in order to create structure and understand a problem.

• Communicative, representative, and confidence-building with the ability to keep a good dialogue and relation on with different levels in supplier organisations.

• You like maintaining relationships and enjoy having many contacts within different parts of the organization.

• As the role involves a large international network, you will need to be proficient in both written and spoken English. Swedish is an advantage as well as other language skills.

Please note that the position requires frequent traveling, sometimes on very short notice.
