The department Propulsion Power System is responsible for development of Propulsion HW for Fuel engines and HW/SW for Electrical Machines. Electric Drive is one of the subsystem that have the main responsibility to develop future hybrids and full electrical powertrain.
Who are we?
The group Electric Drive System SW is responsible for delivering system solution and SW functionality for the Inverters in our electrified vehicles. Our vision is to deliver the best functionality in the market and continuously evolve our development platform. We are working with continuous integration as development praxis and we are striving towards continuous deployment of SW.
The group consist of 15 enthusiastic people with a mix of gender, ages and nationalities. High focus on collaboration and communication within the group and it is good cohesion between the group members. New members always get warm welcome, support and acceptance.
About the position and responsibilities:
As Sub Function Responsible engineer (SFR) you would be responsible to provide the software requirement for both in-house development team and supplier, take an active part in how our developers and suppliers interpret and implement the requirements. You would do follow-ups on existing designs in production to further develop software. In this position you would be the link between function developers and the teams who provide system requirement for the Inverters.
We have a great team member who is responsible for this area today but as the responsible grows we are splitting up the Diagnostic part in separate key areas.
Responsibilities:
* Write and review software requirement in Volvo requirement system (Elektra).
* Ensures that the supplier's software and our in-house software work together and fulfill the SWRS (Software requirement specification).
* Ensure that the initial system requirement and software solutions are aligned. Co-responsible for the Diagnostic & Dependability requirements and secure that they follow the Volvo development strategy.
* Main contact person to clarify the software requirement specification for your responsible area towards the supplier development team.
* Follow up the in-house software development and make sure that we have correct release for each project
Required qualifications:
* Master or Bachelor of Science within engineering or equivalent work life experience
* Experience of development with Simulink/Matlab
* Experience of writing software system requirement
* Experience of working with Diagnostic applications and have deep knowledge of the area.
* Good English skills, written and spoken
* Driving license, B
Experience from the automotive industry and/or knowledge about AUTOSAR is meritorious.
